Summary: CronTab does not collect, transmit, or share any data. The app works entirely offline. Saved expressions are stored locally on your device only. We use Google AdMob for ads, which has its own data collection practices.

1. Data We Collect

Data stored locally on your device:

  • Saved expressions: Cron expressions you save with their labels and descriptions are stored in a local database.
  • Preferences: App settings are stored in SharedPreferences.

Data we do NOT collect:

  • We do not make any network requests except for serving advertisements.
  • We do not track your usage or activity.
  • We do not have analytics or telemetry.
  • We do not collect your IP address, device identifiers, or location.

2. Network Requests

CronTab makes no network requests for its core functionality. All cron parsing, explaining, and scheduling calculations happen entirely on your device. The only network activity is from the Google AdMob SDK for serving advertisements.

3. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data for ad targeting and measurement. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Security

  • All saved expressions are stored locally in an on-device Room database.
  • The app database cannot be extracted via Android backup (backup is disabled).
  • Input validation is performed on all cron expressions.

5. Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete saved expressions at any time within the app. Uninstalling the App deletes all stored data.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be accessible within the App and at this URL.
