Getting Started
- Open the app and grant location permission. The map will center on your current location.
- Tap the magnifier in the top bar to search for a place or trail.
- Tap the layers icon to switch between map styles.
- Tap Record to start a GPS track. The blue iOS background-location indicator stays on while recording.
Premium Maps
A one-time $4.99 unlock adds five extra map styles: MapTiler Outdoor, MapTiler Hybrid, MapTiler Topo, Esri Topo, and Esri Satellite. The unlock is family-shareable.
To unlock: Settings → Premium Maps → Unlock Premium Maps.
If you've already purchased and the unlock didn't carry over to a new device, tap Restore Purchases in the same Settings section.
Offline Packs
Open Menu → Offline Packs to download a region for offline use. Pick a center, radius, and zoom range, then tap Download. Once complete, the pack is available without a network connection.

TrailMap does not collect personal information, doesn't use analytics, and doesn't show ads. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
