Summary: CarverDict is a fully offline reference app. The entire dictionary is bundled with the app — no accounts, no internet required, no data collected. The only network activity is from Google AdMob serving banner ads.

1. What CarverDict does

CarverDict is a snowboard carving dictionary for Android. It provides definitions, technique guides, and gear references for carving and alpine snowboarding. All content is bundled locally — the app works entirely offline.

2. Data we collect

We collect no data. Specifically:

  • No account or registration is required.
  • No usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting is present.
  • Bookmarks and preferences are stored locally on your device only.
  • No data is transmitted to any server operated by us.

3. Permissions we request

  • INTERNET: Required solely for Google AdMob to serve banner advertisements. CarverDict itself makes no network requests.

4. Third-party services

CarverDict displays a Google AdMob banner advertisement. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad targeting under their own privacy policy. This is the only third-party SDK in the app.

No other analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs are present.

5. Data retention and deletion

All preferences and bookmarks are stored locally. You can clear all app data via Settings → Apps → CarverDict → Clear data, or uninstall the app to remove everything. There is no server-side data to delete.

6. Children's privacy

CarverDict is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If we add features that change what data is handled, we will update this page and note the change in the Play Store release notes.
