1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ByteProbe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ByteProbe is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) inspector and developer tool. It lets you scan for nearby BLE devices, connect to them, browse GATT services and characteristics, read and write characteristic values, subscribe to notifications, and log GATT traffic. It is intended for embedded development, IoT engineering, and authorized diagnostic use.

3. Authorized Use Only

Important: You must only connect to and interact with Bluetooth devices that you own or that you have explicit permission to inspect. Writing to BLE characteristics on devices you do not own may cause unintended behavior, data loss, or safety issues.

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring you have authorization to interact with any device.
  • You agree not to use the App to interfere with or gain unauthorized access to any device or network.
  • You agree not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including tampering with medical, automotive, industrial, or safety-critical devices you do not own.
  • You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

4. No Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that decoded values, characteristic reads, or written payloads will be accurate or produce the expected result on any given device. Use of the App is at your own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developers of ByteProbe be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, damage to connected devices, or loss of profits resulting from your use of the App. You assume all responsibility and liability for your use of the scan, connect, read, and write functionality.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google AdMob for advertising. Google's advertising services are subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
