The standard approach to home storage is: pack something into a tote, label it vaguely, stack it in a cupboard or garage, and then spend 45 minutes looking for it three years later. ToteRecall replaces the vague label with an AI-powered searchable inventory.

How It Works

Open ToteRecall, add a tote or storage box, and photograph its contents. The AI scans the image and identifies the items — books, tools, cables, clothes, kitchen gear — and logs them with the photo, AI-generated tags, and any notes you add. Every box in your storage gets its own photo record and item list.

When you need something later, you search across your full inventory. Type "camping", "winter", or "charger" and the app finds which box it's in. No digging through every bin, no "I thought I put it in the green box."

The Audit Trail

Every inventory action is logged — when you added an item, when you moved it, when you removed it. This is useful beyond just "where is my thing":

• Moving house — know exactly which box has what, and confirm when unpacked
• Seasonal storage — log what went in for winter, verify it's all there in spring
• Workshop or craft supplies — track stock levels and when consumables were used
• Insurance purposes — a photographed inventory of stored items has obvious value

Manual Entry

Not everything needs AI scanning. ToteRecall supports manual item entry for when you know exactly what's in a box and don't need image analysis. The AI scan is opt-in per item — one rewarded ad per scan covers the processing cost.

Privacy

Photos and inventory data are stored locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers for storage. AI scanning uses on-device processing where possible — your home inventory doesn't go to the cloud.
